I’m a sixth-grade teacher in Los Osos, CA (San Luis Obispo County). I’m very passionate about teaching and use this blog to express the successes (on fire) and frustrations (burned) I experience as a classroom teacher.
I’ve had a tendency to not post here very regularly. Mainly because I’ve just put too much thought into my writing style, etc. My new approach is to just let go and write whenever I’ve had some thoughts to express. I’ve stopped worrying about whether my posts are grammatically perfect. Some of my more recent posts were made in a stream of consciousness before crashing for the night.
Here’s a little bit more about myself: I sometimes moonlight as an edtech coach/consultant and have given presentations on video editing in the classroom, WordPress, Moodle, Google Classroom, Animoto, Webpage design, Diigo, Google Earth, and more. I’m a Google Certified Teacher, and teach in a one-to-one tech device environment using Google Apps for Educators.
I’m married with one young son who attends the school where my wife teaches P.E.
